GO BRONCOS!!!

Ben got tickets from his work to go the the last preseason game yesterday. Even though we knew there probably wouldn't be any starters playing we thought it would be a fun thing to take the kids to. Kai is almost two and still gets into everything for free...might as well jump on anything we can get our hands on. We were a little nervous as to how it would be taking two kids under the age of two (totally past their bedtime) to a football game. Luckily the kids were angels and didn't make a peep the entire time. They were so happy to be out and about and Kai loved watching the game. There were plenty of touchdowns so Kai got to see the bronco run across the field and the fireworks. I am so glad he had such a great time at his first football game.

So, we didn't have seats up this high, but I had to nurse Cicilee during the game and didn't want to go the family restroom (GROSS!) Ben and I noticed that there were a ton of seats open at the very top of the stadium and we thought that would be a great place to get away from everyone so I could get Cic fed. We soon learned that the reason no one was sitting there was b/c the seats were right under the lights and there were millions of bugs! Awesome...not sure which is worse. Family restroom or sitting there with bugs falling from the lights all over you. Luckily we didn't take that long and Kai was in HEAVEN!

After Cic ate and then spit up pretty much everything she had eaten all day, we asked a guy to take our picture. I love the background but seriously, can ANYONE take a decent picture? We are not in focus...the background is. (Plus Cic is almost blindfolded...why didn't he tell me?) I didn't look at the picture til we sat back down in our seats and I was so bummed. Oh well. I was just happy to get away from all the falling bugs. :)

While we were at the top, Ben was messing around with the camera taking pictures of Kai. I am so glad I didn't have to sit up there all by myself.

Daddy and Kai. (He is totally "in the zone" can you tell?)

Kai didn't want to hold Cicilee, he just wanted to watch the game. Here is his "happy face".

Me and my baby girl.

Our second attempt at a family photo...

Kai loves riding the train! He just stares out the window with a big smile on his face.

Here are the kids at the end of the night...WAAAAAAAAAAAAY past bedtime. I was sure the train ride home would have gotten them to sleep, but they were wide eyed.

I just had to post this picture to show how little my little boy really is. He is a few weeks away from turning 2 and I put this 18 month outfit on him and he was swimming in it all night long. Poor guy. We couldn't get the shirt to stay around his neck, it kept going over his shoulder. He is just a smaller kid. Good thing point guards don't have to be tall!

Cleaning Out My Camera

Ben and I took Kai to the park over a month ago. I took some pictures while we were there and they have sat in my camera since. I wish I had the time to edit them and mess around with the color on some of them but I don't. So instead of just letting them sit in my camera for another month...here they are.
Kai LOVES the park. He could play there for hours. I love how happy he is. So glad I could capture his joy on camera.

Yes, Cicilee was there. She will enjoy the park more next summer.
Kai was going through a "hat phase" and wouldn't leave the house (or his bedroom) without a hat on. It was the middle of summer and he wanted to wear a beanie.

This is my favorite picture.

My little model...striking a pose.

Playing with daddy...

Ben and Cicy...

Gosh I love my little man!!!

~TOYS~

Cicilee has started playing (chewing) with toys. It is sooooo nice to be able to give her a toy b/c she now can entertain herself for a while and I can get things done around the house again! YAY! (This is probably a boring video to everyone else besides my Mom).

Why I have to use burp cloths...

~Kai's First Singing Lesson~

I know what you are thinking...New Kids On the Block, really? Hey, Ben picked the song.

"snAp bAck tO rEAlIty..."

Ben went on a big golfing trip for the weekend and instead of just hanging out while the guys had all the fun, Kristal came into town and we had a blast!!!
I have missed hanging out with Kristal so much. Kai and her little girl, Alexa had a ball together.
I have truly missed just hanging out with girlfriends. Girlfriends are important...who else would watch "17 Again" with me and gush over how hot Zac Efron is? Ben wouldn't.
We went garage "sale-ing", shopping at the outlets, to lunch with friends, made yummy food, made even yummier treats, went to the park, watched movies, did more shopping, and sat on the couch and laughed til our stomachs hurt. I wish they still lived close by so hanging out was an everyday occasion. Our kids would be the best of friends. Luckily we are going to St. George in a couple of weeks and will meet them there to spend even more time together. I seriously am counting down the days!!!
Here are some pictures from their stay. I realize that there are NO pictures of Cicilee...she was there too, but she just needs our friends to make her a little playmate as well...hint, hint.
Alexa and Kai were so cute sitting next to each other. Alexa was good at sharing...and Kai was good at letting her share. He took everything from her. Guess I need to work on that with him. :)
Here they are driving around our grocery cart at the store. This is Kai's favorite thing at the grocery store.
Kai and me at the park.

Kristal and Alexa

We miss you guys already. Reality is starting to sink in...MOVE BACK!!!

First Laugh~

I was playing with Cicilee tonight and she was just sitting there talking to me.
After a few minutes of talking, I guess she decided that what I was going was funny and she let out a little giggle.
It was the cutest thing I have ever heard. I told Ben to go and grab the camera quick and we got some of it on video. Sorry this is so dark...the lighting is terrible in this video.
Enjoy!!!

thrEE mOnths~

We had Cicilee's three month pictures taken yesterday at the same location we had Kai's taken. (I am totally OCD and wanted the frames, size, and mat to all match).

It is so crazy to see these pictures of Kai and Cic side-by-side. Same age, same background, same pose, same cute bottoms....but, what different looking kiddos I have.

We have these pictures (along with a wedding picture) hung on the stairs.
I ran across some pictures the other day that I had forgotten I took of Cic. I think she was almost 2 weeks old when I took these. I know I say this all the time, but I can't believe how big she is getting. I have mixed emotions about it. I love that she is getting easier, but miss my little newborn. I love her candid smiles, but miss all that hair she had when she was first born. (Why does it have to fall out?) She is such a blessing in our lives and a joy to be around. We love you Cic!

Pool Day~

Ben has been so great lately. He goes into work early just so he can get home earlier to spend more time with the kids before they go to bed. We have been doing more things as a family and everyone is happier b/c of it.
Yesterday I put my brave face on and we decided to go to the pool. (This is only the second time I have gone this summer b/c the first time was such a nightmare.) The kids were awesome though. Cic slept the entire time and Kai played and laughed nonstop.
Maybe I should go more often (I say that now that the outdoor pools will be closing soon.) Bummer...
Our neighbor, Jackie bought Cic this adorable swimsuit. I think it shows off her six-pack (and her white tan) quite well. Thanks for the suit Jackie! We love it!!!

Here are some fun shots of Kai playing in the pool. He was in heaven!

This is my favorite picture~He is soooo happy!

So much for our hopes of Kai being a left-handed pitcher...looks like he is a "righty".

No LoNGeR a NeWBoRN...

K...So I know what you are thinking...Cicilee hasn't been a newborn for quite some time. I guess it just hit me today as I was on the computer looking at some of her older picture just how much she has changed.
I even started to get emotional about it. (The country song, "It Won't Be Like This For Long" by Darius Rucker comes to mind...it is exactly how I feel right now).
I can't believe just how much a few short weeks changes things.

I took some pictures of Cicilee in her blessing dress today (b/c I was afraid that she was going to outgrow it before I was able to take some shots of her in it. (I am so sad that we didn't take some of just her on her blessing day, but it was such a crazy day.) I am glad I got some pictures today though, she was my happy smiley baby today for the shoot.
Ben's Grandma Nield bought Cicilee her blessing dress and made her this beautiful blanket. Thank you so much!!!

Cic has a dimple when she smiles really big and I have yet to capture it on camera. I will keep trying b/c it is the cutest thing I have ever seen.

I love that crooked smile

I was always a Hootie & The Blowfish fan...and I am so glad that he is now a country singer. What a beautiful song.
