Milestone!!!

I gave Kai some tummy-time earlier today and not even a minute later I looked down and he was on his back! He had rolled over like it was no big deal. I am amazed at how fast he is learning, and even more amazed at everything he tries to put in his mouth. :o)

Kai's First Christmas

Ok, so we went a bit overboard with Kai's Christmas presents this year. He can't play with any of the stuff we got him really...but he will someday. His pile of presents was more than ours put together! It is so fun having a kid. I can't wait till next year...

White Christmas

This year, we woke up Christmas morning to snow! Our Christmas tree 2007...

Smiling for His 3 Month Photos

This Christmas Eve Kai had his 3 month pictures taken. I was so happy when we actually got a few pictures of him smiling. I have been trying to capture his smile for weeks now, but I think my camera flashes too many times for him. Everytime I go to take a picture, he just stares at the camera. We went to the Picture People in the Park Meadows Mall and it was reasonably priced and Kai seemed to like it. The only downfall was that he sneezed during the shoot and then had snot coming out of his nose. I had no idea this happened and the photographer either didn't say anything to me about it or didn't notice either. So, about 1/2 of the pictures have a little booger in them. Luckily when I went to print a few they digitally took out the booger.

I scanned the picture above into our computer, you can see a couple of the other pictures we took and maybe a few of Kai's snot pictures on the website. I will provide this info later when I have the link.

Blue Eyes

I used to wish Kai had hazel eyes like mine, but now I am so glad he has blue eyes. They used to be so dark they were almost purple. Maybe I am biased, but I feel they are the most beautiful eyes. He has always been such an alert baby with bright eyes.

I love my job!
My manager and I spread holiday cheer around the office today with our Hershey Kiss hats. Seriously, I don't know of another manager that is as good of a sport as he is. We have so much fun at work!

Quote Of The Day~

Ben had to work today (Saturday) for a few hours, so I called him to find out what time he would be home.

Ben- "I will be a little while longer."

Me- "Well, I guess I will go out with Kai and do some more Christmas shopping."

Ben- "Why don't you do some vacuuming?"

WHAT?!? Why don't I do some vacuuming? Who says that?

Santa's Little Helper

I know that I already took pictures of Kai in a Santa hat, but I needed a photo for our Christmas card this year and didn't like any of the ones we had taken so far, so we had another photo shoot with the hat. Maybe if I hadn't procrastinated I would have come up with a better idea...
So this year we took our Christmas picture with Kai in his crib. I think it turned out well for a last minute idea. He is getting really good at sitting up (balancing) if I position him in the corner of the crib.

So, don't be suprised this year when you get our card and it has one of these pictures on it. I am just glad we sent out cards.
Anyway, I couldn't resist posting these recent pictures of "Santa's Little Helper". His personality is really starting to show and I love it!

Ugly Sweater Party!

Our Friends Todd and Heather held an "Ugly Christmas Sweater" party tonight. Ben and I don't own any ugly sweaters nor did we want to pay $20 for one. We ended up finding these holiday turtleneck shirts that were hideous. Ben was such a good sport and wore a ladies shirt to the party...the only sizes we could find were too big for me and too small for Ben.

Deer In The Headlights

I originally took this picture to show what happens when we burp Makai after he eats. I sometimes wonder if he keeps that much down.
I have often wondered where Makai gets the whole "deer in the headlights" look from. I think the picture below says it all. :o)

I don't know what was so interesting to Kai but I could not get him to look at the camera. I guess I will have to find another photo to use with our Christmas card this year.
