Turning oNe

My baby turns ONE tomorrow! (In a few short hours actually...May 20th at 12:40am)

I hate the first birthdays. I get really emotional. First birthdays are like graduation from "baby-hood." She is no longer a baby and is now a "kid."

My talented cousin, Krista helped me out with these announcements. She is so so talented!!!

Spring Shots

I didn't really get an "Easter Picture" of the kids all dressed up this year b/c they were sick. One day before church we went out to the front yard and took some shots. I can't really get a picture of the kids when they are BOTH looking at the camera anymore. Cicilee is more interested in eating the bark around my tree...This wasn't Cici's 'easter dress' but it is still "springy."

Kai is in his element when he is outside. He is always finding reasons to be outside. Can't wait till summer!

The Denver Zoo

We bought a family zoo pass this year and have already been several times. Kai loves it and Cic, well as long as she has goldfish to eat she is happy.
Ben went with us for the first time recently (which enables me to actually take some pictures). It was a little chilly but so much fun!

Kai has several favorite animals to see, but recently he has decided that he LOVES the elephants. We tried to get a shot in front of one but it was walking away and the only thing you can see is its behind waaaayyyy in the background.

(Yes, I did finally 'go dark'. I have been wanting to be a brunette for quite sometime and finally made the leap.)

Another favorite...the monkeys. Kai could sit and watch them for hours.

Kai wants to be just like Ben. Whatever he is looking at or doing, Kai will mimic him. The gorillas...

Chillin' by the pool

It has been gorgeous outside lately (other than the CRAZY wind). I filled the kids pool up early one day thinking that the water would be warm enough after naptime...Boy was I wrong. It was freezing! Kai and Cic were content just splashing in the water sitting by the pool. I must say, Cic is a lot braver than Kai. He kinda follows her lead. They had so much fun being outside. I can't wait till the pools open and we can go swimming everyday...(and I can work on my tan).


I don't know where Cicilee gets all her facial expressions from. They are hilarious and she is always making some sort of 'face'.
There are few days that Kai and Cicilee play well together and no one ends up in tears. This was one of those days. They loved each other all day...it was a miracle.
